In-form gelding MONACO PLAYBOY takes the step-up to Saturday Metropolitan grade at Doomben tomorrow as he chases his third straight victory in the Surf Life Saving BM70 Handicap (1600m).

The six-year-old has recorded consecutive wins at the Sunshine Coast and Ipswich at his past two starts to earn a well deserved appearance at Saturday Metropolitan level.

The stable also has three runners at the Gold Coast tomorrow, with former Victorian SKY LAKE resuming from a spell at her first start for the stable in the Fillies and Mares Class 2 Handicap (1200m).

DREAM DANZA steps up to the 1400m in his third start for the preparation in the Komatsu Maiden Handicap (1400m), while SOCIAL CONQUEST will be hoping to make the most of a favourable draw in the BMI Group Colts, Geldings and Entires Class 2 Handicap (1200m)

Colours No. / Horse Name / Barrier Jockey Weight
3. Monaco Playboy (7) Clayton Gallagher    60kg

TRAINER COMMENTS: “It looks to be a pretty even race. He’s drawn nicely and I’d like to hope Clayton can be be positive on him tomorrow from the draw and use it to advantage to be in the first six or seven. The horses is very fit, is going very well and a bit of rain around will obviously help him. I’m very happy with him going into this race.”

Race 5 – 2:58PM KOMATSU Maiden Handicap (1400 METRES)
Colours No. / Horse Name / Barrier Jockey Weight
12. Dream Danza (14) Les Tilley    55kg

TRAINER COMMENTS: “She hasn’t draw the best barrier, however, up to the 1400m, I’d like to hope from that bad draw, she can roll forward and put herself into the race. If she’s good enough, hopefully she can hold on and win the race for us. She’s done very well and her coat is starting to look the way that I’d like it to, so fingers crossed she can aim up there tomorrow and run a winning race for us.”

Race 7 – 4:18PM SUEZ Fillies and Mares Class 2 Handicap (1200 METRES)
Colours No. / Horse Name / Barrier Jockey Weight
1. Sky Lake (10) Nathan Day     59kg

TRAINER COMMENTS: “Sky Lake resumes tomorrow at the Gold Coast for me for the first time and I’m very happy with her going into this race. She’s had two nice trials so she’s going into the race as forward as I can get her without going to the races. There looks to be a good bit of speed in the race so I’m hoping that she can get a run just behind the speed there with a bit of cover. I’m sure judging by her work she’ll race very well for us and whatever she does tomorrow she will improve on.”

Race 8 – 4:58PM BMI GROUP Colts, Geldings and Entires Class 2 Handicap (1200 METRES)
Colours No. / Horse Name / Barrier Jockey Weight
11. Social Conquest (5) Nathan Day      55.5kg

TRAINER COMMENTS: “He has drawn a nice barrier to do what we want to do tomorrow and that’s ride him a little bit more quietly. I think we’ve got to try something different with him and change it up, so from the the barrier I’ll be instructing Nathan to ride in behind the speed there midfield or even a bit worse, and hopefully he comes with one rush and gets home over the top of them. He continues to hold his condition well and he looks well, so it looks like a nice race to try and do something different with him to get a result.”
