Bargain buy SKATE TO PARIS made it two wins from her last three starts with a thrilling victory from the tail of the field at Eagle Farm today.

Settling well back in the run, jockey Ronnie Stewart looked like he had his work cut out for him rounding the turn before the Bradbury’s Luck mare stormed home over the top of them to score her third career win.

The win took SKATE TO PARIS’ prizemoney past the $260,000 mark, an impressive effort for a $10,000 Magic Millions purchase.

It followed on from a creditable fifth in the $1 Million Magic Millions 3YO Guineas last start.

“She’s certainly been going very well this time around and it’s been nice to pick off a few races with her, go through the grades and get her some confidence,” said trainer Chris Munce.

“She’s one of the toughest horses I’ve ever had to deal with.

“As a 3yo she went through all those good races during the Winter leading into the Oaks but now as an older mare, she’s that bit more mature.”

Congratulations to her owners: Mr D J Watkins, Mr M C Brownrigg, Mr R B Armstrong, Miss H A Douglas, Mr G P Brownrigg, Mrs S Toparis, Mr S C Cassady, Mr A M Balzer, Mr C J Gillie, Mr P E Makowiecki, Miss S I Watkins, Mr D Toparis
