Consistent filly BUCKETS OF PRIDE shirked her maiden status at start No.10 with a well deserved victory at Doomben on Wednesday.

The three-year-old filly broke through for her maiden win in a head bobbing finish with Explosive Quality, narrowly poking her nose in front on the line thanks to a display of vigour and balance from apprentice Justin Huxtable.

The result was a great reward for the filly and owner Andrew Holt, who had watched BUCKETS OF PRIDE run minor placings on five other occasions prior to the win.

Although it was her first victory, BUCKETS OF PRIDE has been a great advertisement for buying and racing QTIS eligible fillies, with the win taking her career prizemoney earnings past $82,000 from just 10 starts.

Congratulations to owners Mr A J Holt and Ms D Rebbechi.
